Summary. Tidy Mind has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your progress is saved on your device, and the app doesn't send us anything: we don't run a server for it. Purchases are made through Google Play, which takes the payment, so we never see your card details.
This policy explains how the Tidy Mind app for Android handles your information. It also covers the tidy-mind.fun website and emails you send us. “We” means the developer of Tidy Mind, named as its developer on Google Play, who decides how the information this policy describes is used. If Tidy Mind comes to iPhone, purchases there will go through Apple's App Store, and we'll update this policy before that version is available.
What the app saves on your device
Tidy Mind keeps your game in the app's own storage on your device:
- your progress in each game: the levels you've unlocked, solved or skipped, your stars and best times, and how many hints you've used;
- your daily puzzle results, your streak and its freezes, and the days you played (for the Stats calendar);
- any puzzle you're in the middle of, so you can carry on where you left off;
- your settings, such as sound, music, haptics, theme, paper look, colour-blind glyphs, the left-handed toolbar, the timer and each game's own options;
- when your next hint is ready;
- a note of the purchases Google Play has confirmed, so they stay unlocked when you're offline.
There is no account, and none of this is sent to us or to anyone else. It's deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
If your phone's backup is turned on (for example Android's backup to your Google Account), Android may include the app's data in that backup and put it back when you reinstall the app or set up a new phone. That backup is made and kept by Android and Google, and we can't see it.
No ads, no analytics, no tracking
The app has no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking of its own, and we don't collect information about how you play. Every level, sound and font is inside the app, so it needs no connection to play. The only time it uses the network is for purchases, through Google Play, as described below.
Purchases (Google Play)
Tidy Mind Complete, and any game sold separately in future, are bought through Google Play, which takes the payment. We never receive your card or other payment details.
- To show prices and to buy, the app talks to Google Play on your phone through Google's Play Billing Library, which is built into the app.
- To keep your purchases unlocked, the app asks Google Play which Tidy Mind purchases your Google account owns: when the app starts, when you come back to it or open Settings, when you open a purchase sheet while Google Play can't be reached, and when you tap Restore purchases. The answer is kept on your device. It isn't sent to us, and no purchase service of ours or anyone else's is involved.
- Google Play gives us a record of each order: the order number, the product, the date and the price, the buyer's country and, where Google provides them, their state, city and postcode, and the model of the device it was bought on. Google Play also lets us find an order by the buyer's email address, which we do only when you write to us about a purchase. We use these records only for our accounts and tax, and to help if you contact us about a purchase. They come from Google, not from the app.
Google handles your purchases and your Google account under its own terms. The Play Billing Library may also send Google diagnostic information about how billing is working on your device. If you've allowed your phone to share usage and diagnostics data with Google, Google may also give us crash and performance reports about the app that don't identify you. See the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.
What the app's plugins do
Tidy Mind is built with Capacitor. Apart from the purchase plugin, its plugins work only on your device: they save your game, vibrate for haptics, keep the screen upright, show the splash screen and the status bar, notice when the app is opened or put away, and open your phone's share sheet. None of them sends any data anywhere. The purchase plugin (cordova-plugin-purchase) connects the app to Google Play, as described above.
When you share a result, the app passes a few short lines of text to the app you choose: the game, the daily's number or the level, your stars, time and hints, and a row or two of coloured squares. Nothing else goes with it. What happens to it then is up to you and that app.
Children
Tidy Mind has no ads, no accounts, no chat and no way to contact other players, and it collects no personal information from anyone, children included. Purchases go through Google Play, where a parent can require approval before anything is bought.
This website
tidy-mind.fun is hosted by Cloudflare, which receives your IP address and standard request information (such as your browser and the page you asked for) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and keeps logs for a limited time under Cloudflare's privacy policy. If a page fails to load, your browser may also send Cloudflare a short error report about it. The website has no analytics, no tracking cookies and no ads, and it loads nothing from other sites.
Emails to us
If you email support@tidy-mind.fun, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply and to help. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards mail sent to that address to our own mailbox, which our email provider stores. We keep the conversation only as long as we need it, and we'll delete it if you ask.
How long information is kept
Your game data stays on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its storage. We keep Google's order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Google keeps purchase and account information as described in its own policies, and Cloudflare keeps website logs for a limited time under its policy.
Keeping it safe
Your emails to us and Google's order records are kept only in accounts protected by a password and two-step sign-in, and we don't pass them on to anyone else. Google, Cloudflare and our email provider may handle this information outside the UK and the European Economic Area, for example in the United States, under their own safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Your choices and deleting your data
- Game data: uninstall the app, or clear its storage in your phone's settings, to delete everything it saved on your device. In the app, Settings → Reset progress clears your levels, stars, dailies and streak, and keeps your settings and purchases.
- Purchases: they belong to your Google account. Refunds go through Google Play; the support page explains how.
- Emails: ask us to delete our conversation and we will.
As there's no account and the app sends us nothing, there's no game data of yours on a server of ours to delete.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us. In practice that means your emails to us and Google's records of any orders. If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you can also object to or restrict how we use your data, and complain to your local data protection authority. We rely on what's needed to provide your purchases and on our legal duty to keep tax records for order records, and on our legitimate interest in answering you for emails. We don't sell or share your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy if what the app or the website does changes, for example before an iPhone version is released. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
